Template links, Carosell images

hi if i add the templates block und the maker on my start page, and i choose one picture from the templates, there is just opened the picture and its not added to the generator, how to fix this`? is it possible to change the imagesize of the carosell images? currently they are cut of left and right and not fully shown.
